As per reports by the Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), the country will soon have 420 million mobile Internet users.

Towards the end of December 2016, India had close to 390 million people accessing the Internet from mobile.

According to IAMAI, 250 million users are anticipated to be from the urban areas, while the rest 170 million would belong to the rural segment of India. Owing to the reducing data prices and more availability of low-cost smartphones, the user base in the rural areas is expected to grow faster than before.

An interesting find of the report states while the urban users use mobile internet more for communication, social networking, entertainment, and eCommerce, the rural users are consumers of entertainment and information. In both rural and urban areas most Internet data is consumed by the youth.

This whole finding shows how important it is for all businesses to have a web presence today. India is a huge market that can be mostly captured online. No businesses in today’s world can survive without a website. A website acts as a highly effective marketing tool for a brand and in the most cost-effective way.

Check out the various benefits you can reap through your website:
